
Terms & Conditions
1. Prices are per room per night and include breakfast and all taxes.
2. Payment: Reservations should be paid in advance unless otherwise agreed in writing by the management.
3. Cancellation policy: As we are a small, privately-run establishment we prefer to have 100% security that customers do not forfeit their reservation, we feel it would not be fair to potential customers to decline availability and then have reserved guests not turn up.Guests may cancel or amend any reservation 5 days before the date of arrival and no charge will be taken, any monies already paid will be returned via the same method used for the original payment less any charges incurred by ourselves in the receipt or return of the payment. If the cancellation or amendment is after this time i.e. with less than 5 days notice, then the first night or 50% of the total reservation amount is taken, whichever is higher. For reservations with multiple rooms this applies to each room. Please also note all cancellations or modifications must be made in writing by email. Verbal cancellations over the telephone will NOT be accepted.
4. Check-in / Check-out:Check-in time is any time from 14:00pm on the date of arrival. Earlier check-in can be arranged if your reserved room is not occupied on the night before your arrival, feel free to ask. Check-out time on the date of departure is 12:00pm (mid-day). If the room is not vacated by this time, the customer may be subject to another night’s charge.
5. Conduct: Clients and guests are asked to respect the cleanliness and peaceful atmosphere of Yab Yum, the management reserves the right to eject any guests or clients found to be conducting themselves disrespectfully or inappropriately.
Clients and guests are responsible for the behaviour of any visitors they bring on-site and in particular for the orderly conduct of said guests and in ensuring that no noise or nuisance is caused either to the management or to other guests or clients. Only registered guests are permitted lodgings, any visitor remaining after midnight must register and pay the full room tariff.
Please note that we have a strict no-noise policy between the hours of 10pm and 10am and we also have a no-drugs policy, anyone found with any illegal substances will be asked to leave immediately with no refund and no prior warning.
We provide a full, 24hr laundry service and we urge our guests to make use of this. In keeping with the aesthetic of Yab Yum guests must not use their accommodation or outside space for the washing or drying of clothes with the exception of the drying of swimming costumes and beach towels.
6. Insurance:
It is strongly recommended that you take out adequate travel insurance. Please read your policy details carefully. It is your responsibility to ensure that the insurance cover you purchase is adequate for your particular needs.
7. Force Majeure:
We regret we cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of our contractual obligations is prevented or affected by or you otherwise suffer any damage or loss as a result of "force majeure", meaning any event which we or the supplier of the service(s) in question could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events may include war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, actual or threatened terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events outside our control.
8. Our Liability to you:
We promise to provide your accommodation with reasonable skill and care. We do not accept responsibility if any death, personal injury, failure or deficiency of your accommodation arrangements is not caused by any fault of ours, meaning failure by ourselves to use reasonable skill and care in performing or providing the service in question. Please note it is your responsibility to show that reasonable skill and care has not been used if you wish to make a claim.
We will not be responsible for any injury, illness, death, loss (for example loss of enjoyment), damage, expense, cost or other sum or claim of any description whatsoever which results from any of the following: -
(a) the fault of the person(s) affected or any member(s) of their party or
(b) the fault of a third party not connected with the provision of your accommodation by us which we could not have predicted or avoided or
(c) an event or circumstance which could not have predicted or avoided even after taking all reasonable care (see clause 9)
In addition, we will not be responsible where you do not enjoy your stay or suffer any problems because of a reason you did not tell us about when you booked your stay or where any problems you suffer did not result from any breach of our contract or other fault of ourselves or any losses, expenses, costs or other sum you have suffered relate to any business.
Futhermore, all breakages and any damage to Yab Yum property or that of any affiliates or service providers beyond normal wear and tear must be paid for as billed by the management. Yabyum Resorts India Ltd. will not be held responsible for the loss or theft of any personal effects. As always, we urge all travellers to take out travel insurance.
10. Finally:
We must stress that Yab Yum has on-site security and is a friendly, restful place and our terms and conditions are meant purely to ensure this continues and that business may continue!
